“Sometimes the subject matter is the process or the act of painting and creating. I often begin with a subject in mind but, not always. When my subject matter is the process and the enjoyment of making art, I allow things to materialize that I have never seen before.”
-Michael Helton

Background
“I have been an artist and a painter since I was about fourteen. I was classically trained by some great teachers and worked in most modes of expression; working my way through art history. Being self-employed most of my career has allowed me to be a survivor developing my own form of expression. I wish to share this lyrical enthusiasm with you.”
